MD of Windsor
This family was introduced to us by one of the occupational therapists from Windsor Social Services Directorate.
MD has responsibility of care for his grand-daughters. One is aged 8 and little L is aged 5. L has cerebral palsy that badly affects her mobility and daily living skills.
As a result of grandpa’s efforts, L is now doing very well at school and her independence within the home has increased.
They had never been on a family holiday and, with help from Windsor Social Services, they identified a Hoseasons Holiday Village at Lowestoft that would be ideal – if only they could find the funding.
Their therapist managed to get £150 contribution from a Maidenhead charity but they needed help to find the rest.
We funded this holiday at £750 which included the sum of £170.00 toward spending money.
We subsequently received an e-mail letter to say that the family were absolutely delighted, pleased to the point of tears, and amazed that anyone would be able to help them. Such a letter really makes it all worthwhile!
