DK of Oxfordshire
DK was a single mum with three children K, D, Q and E.
Little E was aged five and had undergone four open heart operations for a chronic heart condition which meant he couldn't walk far.
DK needed a buggy for E - similar to a push chair but built to take disabled children of larger age and size. She also dearly wanted to take the family on a short break.
We discussed this with MacLaren Europe Limited who kindly donated a brand new MacLaren Major Elite Buggy complete with Sunshade and Raincover.
As a result of this donation, we were able to pay for a week-long break for the family, at the Haven Holiday Centre in Weymouth, at a cost of £788 including some spending money.
The family were over the moon with MacLaren and we subsequently received a well-written card from K thanking us for the holiday and saying how much he and his three brothers enjoyed it.
