Nether Heyford Pre-School
This pre-school had some 42 children on their books.
They cater for children up to 5 years of age and encourage them to learn through play and to socialize and explore the wider world around them.
The school has good facilities overall but only a small cupboard space in the hall for all their equipment. It was crammed full, wholly inadequate, presented risks to health and safety, and the staff spent a lot of time setting up and clearing away rather than directly on the children.
Their request was for a secure storage facility, in the grounds of the village hall, to hold the bulkier equipment and release the interior space for better use.
We provided £1,287 for a new galvanized storage facility, erected in the grounds of the village hall, and secured with an alarm system.
