SG of Bucks
SG was referred to us by Connection of Bucks.
He was a single parent with two daughters of the age where upheaval would be very damaging.
The girls' mother, SG’s wife, has mental health problems and is chronically alcoholic which has caused the girls great emotional turbulence and stress - although they have coped well as a result of SG's strong support.
SG and the girls lived in a one-bedroom flat - the girls sharing the bedroom while SG slept on the sofa.
Connection managed to arrange the private renting of a nice, local house with 3 bedrooms that would avoid a change of schools which, at this stage, would have bee quite disastrous.
They needed funds for extra furniture for the larger property and £150 toward these were paid by a local charity. But the rent deposit, without which they would have lost the property, was £1,250.
SG managed to generate £400 towards it himself and we were pleased to meet the balance of £850.00.
