Required for this lovely four bedroom modern family home, set in large grounds, close to the beach, but only 20 minutes from Dublin city centre. Duties will include overseeing from the start, all refurbishment of existing properties, as well as taking over the reins of the existing refurbishments, and setting up new builds, as in having experience with architects, Quantity Surveyors, contractors, sub contractors etc. Experience of managing budgets and programmes for all construction work is necessary. The job also involves staff management, there is a small, young team of handymen who are based in Ireland but get sent to France and the USA to do some of the work necessary on the properties. The clients need someone who can manage their time, as well as taking care of all health and safety issues.
There is a one bed apartment 5 minutes from the place of work that goes with this position the job does entail travel, but it would mostly be for a week or so at a time. Pro-active person with an eye for detail. The family includes 3 school age children. A full time gardener, housekeeper, team of handymen and nanny are also employed. Fluent English with good conversational French, clean driving licence and dog lover essential. Preferably no pets or dependants, however partner can follow own occupation. Based in Northern Virginia and Southern CA, there would be travel including Central and South America, Canada, Europe, Hawaii and Australia. Candidates are required to be comfortable beginning tasks independently, while remaining organised and appropriately integrated while independent in their work. Elementary accounting skills are required. You should have an immaculate presentation with excellent butling skills and be able to care for the gentleman’s wardrobe, which will include pressing and steaming suits, packing etc. Ideally you will have basic cooking skills and have a willingness to prepare a light and easy lunch or dinner. The Dr. is very private and enjoys the hobbies of music and photography and stage performance. He insists on his own space. The lifestyle can be eccentric and the hours can be very demanding at times, but in return you will work for a kind and considerate employer.
Driving is essential, you will be required to undertake airport runs, deal with errands and care for the cars. However, this will be compensated with very generous vacation periods when the principals are not in residence, (which is likely to be for up to 4 months each year). Single accommodation can be provided within a staff apartment, but must be shared with the butler. Fantastic opportunity for a highly experienced couple to run and manage this luxury 3000 square metre ski chalet that consists of 9 suites and a spa area complete with beauty therapist, doctor and nutritionist. The chalet is used privately by the family throughout the year and run as a business; therefore there will be long, busy periods especially during the winter. Between the couple, one must act as a butler providing first class front of house and F&B service with knowledge of fine wines and cigars. The property should be completed for February 2009 and will require a residential couple to run and oversee the general management of the property. The family of four includes 2 children of 13 and 11yrs, who will eventually use the house as their main residence, but in the immediate period the family will travel between other homes in Singapore, India and USA. There may be the occasional requirement to travel to one of the other residences for short periods. The house stands in approx one acre of gardens which will be landscaped, with a pool complex and private driveway. A full time gardener will be employed who will report to the couple as will the daily housekeeper. An experienced chef is required who has a very broad repertoire of cuisine; the principals are Indian vegetarian and are health conscious. The chef will be required to prepare Indian cuisine but training will be available for those willing to broaden their skills. Generally cooking will be for a formal dinner each evening for the family at 7pm with the occasional dinner party 6-8 people. Chef will be expected to run and totally care for/provision the home. Excellent presentation is essential. Partner to act as chauffeur and to assist with the maintenance contracts within the residence or as Head Housekeeper, making sure that the residence is run along the lines of a small 5* boutique hotel. Clients are old Hutchinson’s clients – lovely and a very westernised Middle Eastern couple with 3 children with the home being a 7 bedroom residence near Regents Park. There are also 2 large dogs. 2 maids employed with garden contractors. Superb self contained staff flat all found with Sky TV. Large Country residence in rural Derbyshire. Single business man, with grown up children and 2 dogs. Duties will comprise general housekeeping and good traditional family style cooking to dinner party standard but for small numbers. There are 2 part time cleaners employed.
The housekeepers partner should have good handyman skills and be willing to assist the gardener in the grounds with mowing and general gardening maintenance. Other duties will be caring for the cars, maintaining the swimming pool and security of the property in the owners absence.
Both of the couple should drive and have their own car for pleasure. A car is available for business use i.e. shopping, running errands etc.
Salary in the region of £35,000 Gross per annum. 2 days off per week to include some weekends.

The property was recently purchased by a professional couple as their weekend and holiday home. They live in London during the week and use the property as a retreat and for informal entertaining with friends and family.
The main house is five bedrooms and bathrooms, with four reception rooms and library, all beautifully refurbished and decorated with ease of care in mind. Views across the newly designed gardens are amazing.
An experienced couple is required to run and manage the property to include organising external contractors and managing household accounts and expenses. The housekeeper will be responsible for the day to day cleaning, laundry and light family cooking. When the couple entertain, they will employ additional staff for dinner parties and events.
The gardens are relatively newly remodeled and restored, but have a maturity and an English country garden feel, there are 2 gardeners employed and hence the gentleman will only be required to assist the gardeners with general garden maintenance work. Ideally the gentleman should have good maintenance skills and be able to manage the interior and exterior to keep the property in the pristine condition it is already in.
There will be some driving duties, occasional trips to London and Airport runs etc. the gentleman will also be responsible for caring for the cars.
The owners like animals and hence would prefer an animal friendly couple who would be willing to oversee the care of a dog, chickens, ducks etc. A parrot is part of the family but she travels with the owners between homes.

A senior household manager & hands on head housekeeper are sought to work with the estate manager, running the mansion and setting up routine systems. Previous household, yacht or five star hotel experience is essential as this 50,000 Sq foot home will be used for holidays and for frequent visits by VIP owners and their guests and must be kept in immaculate order. Due to the volume of guests at this property, service requirements when owners or guests are in residence, are similar to those onboard a private yacht or within a hotel, hence previous experience in these areas will prove to be a big advantage.
A full staff is employed and the House managers will be involved in recruiting any additional key household personnel. A gardening team is also employed. 5 day working week when family not in residence – applicants must be willing to work longer hours when clients are in residence and take time off in lieu of notice. The family includes four children between ages of 10, 13, 15 and 21 years - the eldest being at University and the three younger at local day schools. Mum runs a Charity from home and father spends part of the week in London and travels quite a lot. The housekeeper must be experienced with and preferably have had children of her own, as there will be the occasional requirement for overnight care of the 3 children at home to allow Mum to spend one night per week in London. Other duties will include, general housekeeping, school pick ups and driving them to numerous after school activities, cooking a family evening meal and walking 2 Labrador dogs.
One of the children has her own horse which is currently stabled close by, but stables are currently being built and if either of the couple has any horse experience then this will be greatly appreciated and a huge bonus. Also 2 pigs are part of the family.
The gentleman is required to be a knowledgeable gardener. There is a total of 43 acres on the property which will shortly be redesigned and landscaped, an opportunity for the gardener to work alongside the designer and develop fruit and vegetable areas, formal flower beds and establish the garden. There is a lake, stream and moat, with tennis courts and swimming pool all of which will need to be managed. The housekeeper could also spend some time working in the garden if she chooses to do so. An experienced, traditional “in house” couple are required to run and manage this very beautiful home on an estate which is fully staffed with all outdoor personnel. The owners use the property most weekends, arriving at Lunchtime Friday and departing after lunch on Monday.
